Esthetics Curriculum
Description:
The Esthetics program is organized to instruct the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, business skills, and acceptable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and for competency in begin to work positions in Esthetics or a similar career field.
Objectives:
By the finish the determined graduate will be equipped to:
Have a positive attitude and a sense of personal integrity and self-confidence.
Project professionalism, visual poise, and proper grooming.
Interact productively and interact suitably with co-workers, superintendents, and customers.
Appreciate the need to deliver deserving service for value received in an employment environment.
Do the basic manipulative skills in the areas of skincare and makeup.
Implement the basic analytical skills to advise clients on their skin and its health.
Practice academic knowledge, technical information, and related matter to assure sound judgments, decisions, and procedures.
To assure continued work success, the graduate will proceed to learn new and current information related to skills, trends, and techniques for career advancement in Esthetics and similar fields.
Esthetics Program:
The dedicated student will be able to project a positive attitude and a sense of personal dignity and self-confidence upon completion. Professionalism of the design, visual poise and good grooming. Communicate effectively with family, colleagues and clients and interact professionally.
Respect the need to provide quality service in a work setting for the value it gets. Perform the basic skills for manipulation in skin care and make-up fields. To advise clients on their skin and health, perform the basic analytical skills.
To ensure sound assessments, decisions and processes, apply academic learning, technical information and related matter.
The student must continue to learn new and up-to-date information related to skills, patterns, and career development approaches in esthetics and related fields to ensure continued career success.
The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) oversees licensed Estheticians in the state of Virginia (Phone #804-367-8500).
DPOR has (3) educational requirements:

600 hours of training with a DPOR approved provider

Pass the Written and Practical Exam through DPOR.VA.GOV

The Neroli MedSoa School of Integrated Professions is certified by State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and is licensed by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).

The Neroli MedSpa and Institute offers esthetics and master esthetics programs. Career advising for becoming an esthetician is offered on an individual basis. The Neroli institute is dedicated to offering the highest quality of training to prepare each student for entry into the workforce.
The esthetic curriculum and hours of instruction in this technology shall consist of 600 hours.
